Proper Animal Husbandry
Keepers aren’t perfect, but we should all aim to raise the bar on animal husbandry. We promote the proper, thorough care of animals in all corners of the animal world, including appropriate diet, housing, enrichment, and socialization.
Educational Conservation
Keepers and conservation go hand in hand. Through education on the status of the wild counterparts of our animals, we find ways to support conservation efforts of the species we hold dear.
Open, Accessible Information
We don’t believe in gatekeeping within this community. Knowledge about proper husbandry and conservation should be open, free, and accessible to all.
Transparency
We strongly believe in transparency as keepers and as a business. We will be one hundred percent honest one hundred percent of the time, sharing in both the highs and lows of our keeping journeys. We’re human, too!
Lifelong Learning
We are always learning more about the special creatures we bring into our families. We acknowledge our mistakes, strive for better, and actively search for new information on the regular to improve our animal husbandry.
United Through Passion
There are many threats to the species we love both home and abroad. When threats occur, we stand united against policies that may harm our hobbies, occupations, and the wild counterparts of our family members.
